To remove oily stains from your clothes:

1. Lay the item of clothing on a light-coloured towel

2. Dip an old (clean) toothbrush or soft scrubbing brush into washing up liquid. Apply the washing up liquid to the stain with a gentle circular motion. Work from the outside of the stain to the middle to stop it from spreading.

3. Put the item of clothing into your washing machine and wash it using the highest temperature that the label says is safe.

4. Check that the oily stain has gone before you dry your clothing – if not, you can repeat the process.
